MODEL DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES

The model disciplinary procedure provides comprehensive guidelines on how misconduct AND incapacity may be dealt with. It contains detailed advice on how hearings should be conducted, and recommends an internal appeal mechanism prior to resorting to the disputes procedures in the Labour Relations Act.

A model disciplinary code is also attached recommending the appropriate disciplinary action to take for different types of offences.
